Hi, My name is Ja'lynne Jordan I am 17 years old and a senior at County Prep Hudson High School. I would love to submit my own original design and sketches to the "Free 2010 Prom Dress of your Own Design" . I have been searching for the perfect dress for months and who would be better to make the perfect dress for me then myself. My dress has a great design thats not only in this year ,but its totally uniuqe. My dress is made for athletic shaped girl, to help hide some flaws but accentuate the positive parts of their shape. Since I lift girls as a base in cheerleading and do gymnastics my arms are somewhat big and toned which is fine with me but my upper shoulders (trapezius) are to muscular to pull of a strapless so my straps that are thick near the neck and thin out going down to the sides and back which will down play my muscular physique. The split (mid thigh) will show off my toned legs and the tight to flow shape of the dress would show of my overall shape.
I actually used the colors from my allstar cheerleading team which is a yellow green or palm like color with a light turquiose /aqua straps with diamond looking rhinestones .My team is kind of like my family so the colors mean alot to me. The material will be elegant and can work with the dress being tight and flowy. So to me chiffon is the best choice but since chiffon is translucent silk lining would be the best because it doesnt bunch up.To get that elagent look that I desire for my senior prom floor length dress is a must ,and I believe the ruffles just adds a little something extra/fun to the dress. The size of the ruffles from smallest to largest.that ends at the bottom of the dress. By making my dress you would be doing me a great favor and honor by showing off my design and making me the dress of my dreams.Thank you for the oppurtunity. Sincerly,Ja'lynne Jordan
