A woman's hair is her crowning glory. You've taken the time to find that perfect dress for the upcoming special occasion. Complete your look with a great hairstyle that compliments your evening gown! What is the type of occasion you will attend? A wedding, prom, cocktail party for work, or formal dinner party? The basic formula is to match your hair to the formality of the dress and to the occasion you are wearing it.  Let's discuss how to find that balance along with cost cutting beauty tips.

There's no need to cringe if you are asked to be in a wedding . Today's brides are very fashion and budget conscious when choosing bridesmaid's dresses. If you're lucky, she'll be able to hunt down a cheap dress with awesome style! Usually, the type of dress chosen depends on how formal the wedding will be. For example, traditional brides may pick an A-line ball gown or an evening dress with a small train sweeping behind it. With dresses that formal, she would most likely want a formal up do for her bridal party. To keep the attention on the dresses, less is definitely more for the hair. A simple and classy French roll with wispy side curls is a popular choice. Don't be afraid of a "boring" do! Busy styling with extensive detail could take away from a polished, uniform look. Accessories to jazz it up if needed. Sprigs of baby's breath or a rhinestone comb gives that "something extra" without overpowering the up do. A modern bride probably considers a French roll somewhat common. She would pair a sultry bundle of side-swept cascading curls with the contemporary style of a halter topped sheath evening dress. The Prom. *sigh*  It isn't just a high school milestone-it's THE high school milestone! Lots of planning goes into it along with lots of money. Young ladies that are smart shoppers can find places offering affordable dresses -even if you need a plus size! A ball gown is a great choice for prom but not your only option. You are young, so you want to wear your hair in a fresh and youthful way. How about a new twist on an old faithful hair do? The  French braid can be adapted to suit trendy young ladies of today. By pulling down random locks of hair and using a flat iron on them, you have instantly updated this look! For the funky divas out there, adding glitter that matches your dress to those random locks gives you a unique finish! Ladies with long hair-focus on the top potion of your dress. Does it have intricate detail that your hair would cover? Put your hair up to show it off!

Ladies with short hair haven't been forgotten! Simply adding a sparkly headband can be a quick fix. A fluff of your bangs and slicking the sides with gel gives you instant sleekness.
