How to Make Sure You Don't Wear the Same Prom Dress as Someone ElseOne Special Night to Be the One and Only Special Girl
For most high school girls, one of the biggest activity they're looking forward is probablly the Prom Night party. It's the mother of all dress up parties and it is the night to put on the most glamourous dress and shoes, and get hair and make-up done. During our years in prom dress and evening gown business, we see girls shopping for the perfect Prom dress months in advance. But wait, can you imagine the disappointment if the ultimate nightmare occurs - seeing another girl wearing the exact same dress at Prom? How to avoid this then?
You can always look for a new designer dress that you purchase from boutiques, rather than mass chain retail stores or department stores. The advantages of buying your prom dresses at a designer store is obvious: uniquely new, and arguablly better quality and fitness. If the designer does a good job, you can easily stand out from the crowd, because the dress is assumablly made for you. Another advantage, if you think so, is that it makes your prom party more "memorable" because the dress is so costly. :) Indeed a designer prom dress can easily go to $500+.
- An inexpensive alternative is to to look for one of a kind dresses at vintage shops. Sometimes you can find unbelievablly cheap prom dresses of good quality and nice design. This is because some girls sell used dresses to vintage stores and consignment stores, at a fraction of their purchase prices. But a disadvante of vintage shops is they only carry a very limitted styles, and sizes are not complete. In addition, vintage prom dress stores are not easy to find in non metropolis areas.
Then what shall I do then? I'm not willing to pay anything more than $150 for just a night, and I want more choices.
- At NextEve.com, we carry 150+ designs of prom dresses, evening dresses, homecoming dresses, at any given season, and 80% of them are under $100, and %40 are under $70. They are all brand new, and made of matched quality of brand prom gowns (we actually supply dresses to several brand name Evening gown companies). Most importantly, our collections are sold to customers sparsely scattered all over country (probablly the world). So it is basically impossible that someone else is wearing the same dress as you.

Long formal dresses Event dressing is just like any other, the golden rule is: keep your clothing appropriate. This rule is just as important for more informal office dos as for formal events. The key word is 'appropriate' rather than 'inappropriate.' With careful planning ahead, you can be the belle of the ball. Begin by deciding on your hairstyle for the event. This may take some weeks to sort out, especially if you need to change hairstyles and learn to manage the new shape. Follow this advice with some magazine or internet research on fashion trends and styling before going shopping for your party dress.
