My name is Jesse Blyth and I certify that I have read and agree to the terms and regulations of this contest. I also certify that my dress design is original. The design for my Prom dress is three pieces: a  it that hangs on one shoulder, a dark green bodice that is scrunched on the sides and laces up in the back, and a four-layer over-skirt with a waistband that clips in back and is covered by the bodice. The over-skirt is shorter in the front than it is in the back just so that the under dress is visible. The purpose of my design is to tastefully combine the look of a flirty shorter style with that of a longer and more elegant style.

I have enjoyed designing dresses since I was very young and my dream was always to actually make one of my own designs, especially for Prom. I made this dress green because it is my favorite color and I wanted it to be a beautiful dress that reminded me of spring leaves and flowers. That was the inspiration for this dress: golden tulips and the different shades of spring leaves. To have my design selected and produced for my Senior Prom would be a dream come true for me, and if this design is selected,  I would be more than happy to further detail exactly how I had imagined it would be assembled and even submit more detailed (constructional) drawings of the different pieces.
