Here's my idea of a dress of my very own design. It is elegant yet very simply which was my thought when I began thinking of the design. I was also thinking of a dress that had a neck that wasn't too deep in the front and would appeal to a woman in her 40-ies ie. the dress is stunning but not too sexy. It is an eggplant and seablue coloured dress with insets of 8 pleated godets for a floating and airy look when the dress moves. Godets might be 2-3 layers if dress is made entirely of chiffon. If made of charmeuse one layer will probably do. Dress should be sewn in a way that reveals the colour in the godets only (or show more) with movement.

The neck is richly decorated with beads and sequins which makes jewellery practically unnessessary. If I could choose rhinestones for the neckline I would as they add a beautiful sparkle to the dress. No underskirt needed as the godets will fill out well.
