Hello! My name is , I'm sixteen years old and I live in Ocala, Fl. I've always had a passion to design and when I came across this competition, I knew I had to enter. This design is completely my own. My feelings about this dress are all postive, due to the fact that it looks lke a princess party dress. It's obvious that many other kids entering this competition have more artistic ability than I do. However, I believe I still clearly get my point across.
Being a winner of this competition would give me great confidence and through this competition I would be able to prove the fact that fashion isn't about the ability of the sketch; it's solely about the passion of the designer.

Description of dress:
Due to difficulties sending my sketch through email, the dress, in my opinion, does not look as good as the sketch in person. However, I will do my best to explain. The strapless dress is full length and consists of the colors: black, maroon (more of a pink-plum maroon color, rather than almost red, so the bright maroon contrasts' well with the black) and white. I chose these colors because they express my personality on prom night, which will be fun and fashion daring. The front of the dress is designed as shown below and consists of elegant dress jewels in the shape of a cirlce. The circle jewels should be large enough to be noticed, but not too large to appear cheap. The material if the dress should be polyester, giving the dress that full volume look, with the exception of the white, which should be silk. The front displays a very low cut, unusually found as such on dresses. The cut is in a rectangular shape between both breasts, revealing sex appeal, yet completely conservative and classy. The cut also has rectangular cuts of black throughout, with a circle jewl on top. Both sides of the dress are not illustrated because the dress has so much going on, I thought it better to leave the sides simply black. The back design is a corset with thick maroon colored strings, directly on top of skin. The corset should start at mid-back length with ten circle dress jewels directly under.
