Dear free prom 2010,

My name is Maryanne Ramirez. im a senior at Newburgh free academy in Newburgh, ny 12550. im applying for the design your own prom dress contest with my design. I chose a royal blue dress (or called sapphire) mainly because blue is my favorite color. since I am petite (5'3" and size 0), I decided to go with a short dress, just above the knee, to show off my legs and add height. the main look I want for the dress is bubbly, fun, and flirty to match my personality.
the front straps should be jewel encrusted. 

I would love for the straps to be of the same material as the rest of the dress but hidden under silver jewels to match my silver heels. in the center, I would like a flower made of jewels. I feel the heart shape top and jewel band below the bust line would look great. I wanted the back to have an unique interesting design (a classic x shape with a twist). the back straps would be the same color and material as the bottom of the dress. I feel that my dress is unique because most bubble dresses are strapless. I wanted to take a classic prom piece and make it my own. lastly, as mentioned before I want the bottom of the dress to be bubbly, sort of coming out from the top (but not to much) to accentuate my hips.
