Hello.

My name is Mykeil Chambers. I am a senior at Glen Oaks High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I am applying for the Free 2010 Prom Dress of Your Own Design. On the next page is the dress I am submitting.  My feelings about this dress are overwhelming, excited, and pleased that it has a corset. Corsets are one of my big time favorites.

I chose the colors red and black, because these are my school colors and I wanted to show school spirit. “Go Panthers!”  I have just recently found out that our prom theme is Arabian Nights, like Aladdin and Princess Jasmine. How cool is that? So the senior sponsors were thinking that it would be cool for use to wear Moroccan colors… I’m going to stick with this though…to be safe.

Now the details of this dress, I am going to try to my best to explain.  First of all… the dress is not meant to look gothic, dark, creepy, or evil of the sort. A  will do fine, please. If possible could the seams on the top of the corset be in silver to match my accessories. On the inside of the corset there should be dark red silk, with a silver embroiling of swirls. A wide ribbon of silver lacing in the back of the corset on the dress. Two layers of Netting in the color black. The top layer shorter than the bottom layer, of course.
