NextEve Prom Dress Design NE12026 by Darnesha Martin

My dress was inspired by three things. Christina Aguilera’s performance dress in “Burlesque”, the beautiful peacock, and a mattel doll. When I recieved the oppurtunity to design my own dress I thought of the most fashionable invention I ever held in my hand. I referred back to my Barbie doll who had a drawstring dress. When the strings were pulled from the bottom the dress shortened as requested. This made a big impact on my dress because now I wont have to debate between going long or short to prom like other teenagers. My dress is very vibrant and sexy but still screams I’m a lady. It has feminine touches of lace and a corsetted top. The bottom of the bodice is a twist on the modern hi-low dress. Everything is form fitting but the beautiful feathers that accent the dress. The feathers allows my dress to fit any prom theme whether it’s a masquerade, night in vegas, paris romance, etc. I know that my dress allows any girl that falls in love with it to not only follow their instinct and pick it but it allows them to say no matter what I know I stand out and look good while doing so.
